Connect the sources once
Authorize Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools or both in IndexGlow. Add the hosted MCP connection to your assistant and confirm it can list your sites. You need access to the property in each source.
Choose an assistant and set up MCPGive every review the same structure
Use complete periods of equal length and keep the engines and filters consistent. A short report should answer three questions.
| Question | Evidence to request |
|---|---|
| What changed? | Clicks, impressions and CTR, with absolute and percentage changes. |
| Where did it change? | The pages and queries contributing most to the movement, per engine. |
| What should I do? | Three checks or actions, each linked to a page and the supporting data. |
Repeat the workflow, then verify
Keep the prompt in your assistant and rerun it for the next period. Open the IndexGlow reports to verify a surprising result before sharing it. If your assistant supports scheduled tasks with MCP, configure the schedule there and check its access and execution history.
- Keep missing dates and source limits in the report.
- Separate observations, hypotheses and proposed actions.
- Record changes you make so the next review has context.
Try it with your own site
Replace example.com with a site you can access. Connect your data and assistant first.
Review example.com for the last complete 28 days against the previous 28 days, using Google and Bing separately. Verify date coverage first. Summarize clicks, impressions and CTR; identify the pages and queries behind the biggest changes. Give me three prioritized next actions with evidence. Flag missing data and distinguish observations from hypotheses. Do not make changes.Keep in mind
IndexGlow runs analyses on request. It does not schedule background reviews, send automatic email reports or edit your website. Scheduling depends on your assistant, its plan and its ability to use the connection in a scheduled task.
